Combustive Passions

Today, I listen to the passions deep within
and set them free.

My permission sparks a combustion,
sending forth an inferno
that devours
my outgrown roles,
the voice of my inner critic,
and my unhealthy expectations.

Scorching through who I built myself to be,
revealing who I truly am.

Walking out of the fire,
I am lighter.

It is time to rise.
